Install from the Chrome Web Store, then open the Crujd side panel and add your Gemini API key (see below).

Crujd uses your own Google Gemini API key. Create one in Google AI Studio, then paste it into Crujd Options (side panel Set API key, or right-click the extension icon → Options) and save.

Try these in order:

1. Confirm you’re on a normal https:// job page (not chrome://, the Chrome Web Store, or another extension page).
2. Make sure a résumé is loaded under CV 1 for the active profile, and that your Gemini API key is saved.
3. If extract looks empty or wrong, expand Paste job description instead, paste the full JD, and use Run with pasted JD.
4. On LinkedIn, open the full job view (not just a search card) and try Crush again.
5. Google Docs and some gated/login walls often can’t be read — paste the JD text instead.

Open the Crujd side panel → expand Résumés → choose CV 1 (required) or CV 2 (optional) → upload a PDF or DOCX (max 5 MB each). Uploads save automatically after the text is extracted.

Scanned/image-only PDFs (no text layer) won’t work — use a text-based PDF or DOCX export.

Expand Résumés, open the CV slot you want, and upload a new file to replace it — or use Remove to clear that slot. You can also edit the CV label; label changes save when you leave the field.

Crujd has two user profiles (the pills at the top of the side panel). Each profile is a separate person or job-search identity with its own:

• Display name (double-click the name to rename)
• CV 1 and optional CV 2
• Crush history and Insights (filtered to that profile)

Switch profiles with the pills before you Crush. Use two profiles for two people on one computer, or two career tracks (e.g. product vs engineering) with different résumé sets. Click × on a pill to reset that profile (default name, clear résumés and its crush history) after confirmation — the two slots always remain.

A user profile is whose data you’re using. Inside that profile, CV 1 and CV 2 are two résumé versions you can compare on the same job (e.g. short vs long, or two targeting angles). Crush always needs CV 1; CV 2 is optional.

When you Crush (or run Insights), Crujd sends the job description text, your résumé text, and the analysis prompts to Google’s Generative Language API using your Gemini key. Your key, résumés, and optional crush history stay in this browser. Crujd does not run analysis servers.

Optionally, successful Crushes can be saved locally in your browser (IndexedDB), for about 90 days, tagged to the active user profile. Open History in the side panel to search, copy, or delete. Turn saving off or clear history in Options / History. History is not uploaded to Crujd.

Large JDs plus two résumés can take 30–90+ seconds. Wait for streaming output to finish. HTTP 429 / rate-limit messages come from Google — wait a bit and retry, or check quota and billing in Google AI Studio.
